Bio (or Oh. Hi there!)

Frankie Leo Bennett is a Chicago-based theatre artist. And a giant goofball.

Recently, he was running around with elixirs and razors as "Tobias Ragg" in SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET, following his run as the ever-effervescent Mark in ALTAR BOYZ, both with Theo Ubique Cabaret Theatre. Bennett has also been seen as “Sonny” in the Lin-Manuel Miranda hit IN THE HEIGHTS (BroadwayWorld Chicago Award – Best Actor in a Musical/Revue) and NEW FACES SING BROADWAY 1985 with Porchlight Music Theatre and as "Christina Crawford"  alongside David Cerda’s Joan Crawford in Hell In A Handbag Productions’ CHRISTMAS DEAREST.  Other favorites include TRIASSIC PARQ (Circle Theatre Chicago); THE WIZ (Emerald City Theatre); the workshop premiere of FLIES! THE MUSICAL by Larry Todd Cousineau and Cindy O'Connor, as well as the Audition Diaries Concert Series with Refuge Theatre Project.

He is also a playwright and lyricist, working on his first musical with collaborator Alec Steinhorn.

Bennett has trained at Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Second City Training Center.
